Apple Pie Moonshine

Apple Pie Moonshine

2 cups Everclear
1/2 gallon apple juice
1/2 gallon apple cider
4 cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a large pot, bring the cider, juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves and both sugars to a boil. Then remove from heat and let it come to room temperature.  Once cooled, add the Everclear and vanilla extract. Place in mason jars with an additional cinnamon stick. Make sure the jars are sealed and keep in a dark place for about 2 weeks. Enjoy

  1. Hi - I am from Australia and would love to try making moonshine (i am sure we have something similar here but have never come across it lol) - i was wondering, what is "everclear"? I think it is one of those things (like half and half) that we don't have in Australia. Thanks and great blogging!

    1. Everclear is an grain alcohol that is 190 proof or higher, which is very strong! Check out this link: http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc494.html

  2. I’ve canned mine and remained sealed for up to 2 years. I use cool whip vodka. So long as it remains sealed. I use hot water bath. Bring to boil ing in the jars. Take out of the bath. After they all deal. Store for cold season. Still has a kick.
